I like to write, design, make & play games!
I’m a level & narrative designer whose spent the past 4 years of my life building small, fun games in university and out. I began by playing around with Unity in high school, and when college came calling, I knew I wanted to do that and more. I am a Miami University 2025 graduate from the ETBD Games + Simulation program. The past 2 years of my career I had worked on semester & year-long projects ranging from video games, game IPs, and stories. I’m ready to make my debut into the games industry with one main goal: make awesome games!
Though I prioritize level & narrative design as my core focuses, I have nominal experience in several different facets when making games. From creating rough art assets, 3D models using Maya, coding basic scripts for movement, and playtesting. When working in teams, I utilize project management tools such as Jira & Miro to help set up mood boards & create a solid project identity & schedule. I’ve also worked as a novice consultant with other level designers, always hoping to help them out any way I can. I have experience working in Unity, UE 4 & 5, with Unity being where most of my experience lies.
When leaving Miami, I brought with me a knack for quick adaptation for most of any game based engine or software. Working on my independent projects & IPs has allowed me to measure and gauge project scope, and what tools are needed for a particular part of any job. I’ve made it a habit to constantly learn and improve in new situations, projects, teams, and environments. In my mind, there’s more fun in something new and unique than in the mundane.
Leveraging my connection made in Miami, I’ve gotten to work and act as a mentee under industry veterans, and speak to many different studio heads across North America. They’ve given me a crucial insight to the inner workings of how a studio flows, stays afloat, and connections with premier Midwest publishers and accelerators. This allows me to see the industry at large, from a product/project perspective and overhead.
