In Your Element
Early in preproduction, I brought the idea of the world aesthetic & idea to the fold. We were either going to make a world set in Aztec/Meso-American inspired mythology, or a Slavic one as an incitement of oppressive regimes.
As the level & narrative designer, I was responsible for:
Whiteboxing/blocking the level, including creating a larger world & capturing the vision of the world
Develop the unique world & setting alongside my team
Implement combat sequences
Write characters, backstory, larger world, and dialogue with oversight & revision from my team leader
Novice playtesting & bug fixing
I completed the main level the game is set in from preproduction to the final product, going through several revisions. My first big lesson when designing this game was: there is always something you miss, so a triple or quadruple take is necessary.

Climate Cleaner
The IndieCade 2024 Climate Jam had 1 major goal- change the way we tell the story of climate change. With Climate Cleaner, our team wanted make an allegory of this by having our heroin fighting it, literally. Our game placed 35th / 48th in our final production phase.
This was my first official project wherein I was a team lead. Working on the project while balancing several important things has helped me learn how to effectively delegate a team, workload, and collaboration skills with other groups. My contributions to the project included:
Being project creator, brainstorming ideas with the help of my team
Ideating & implementing core design (combat, gameplay loop, and story)
Delegating work to team
Creating design documents & paper prototypes to showcase to IndieCade.
