Slipspace Mafia- A Sci-Fi Tabletop IP in Space, on Drugs

This is my first major personal project, and game IP I continue to develop. Set 250 odd years into the future, mankind has grown across the stars, and the discovery of a new designer drug has the galaxy by the throat. New massive crime syndicates have emerged, being the Slipspace Mafias.

When working on this project, I focus on developing a fully breathing world, set of factions, and rules that the stories are built off and must follow. Inspired by the history of criminal organizations and cartel wars in South America, injected into a sci-fi setting full of space travelling, lunar colonies, and discoveries far away.

My work on the project so far:

  • Created game world, characters, factions, and developed a fully realized narrative design document

  • Created board game prototype and playtested

  • Created a game rulebook for a tabletop board game, and TTRPG

  • Created a series of short stories set in this universe that focuses on additive depth and exploration of the setting that doesn’t involve drugs.
